The Axis

The Axis building, formerly known as Stanier House, was originally owned by British Rail. The eleven-storey, T-shaped building stands next to The Mailbox and is within easy walking distance of New Street Station, Broad Street and Birmingham city centre.

The concrete building provides approximately 180,000 square feet of office accommodation and was purpose-built for British Rail. Over the years it has housed several major organisations, including Railtrack until its relocation to The Mailbox in 2001. The property remains leased by British Rail with a substantial term remaining.

The presence of the Atkins logo indicates that the building is managed by Atkins Facilities Management, with Faithful and Gould, a member company of the Atkins Group, among the tenants alongside other occupiers.
