Coventry Transport Museum is one of the most important museums of its kind in the world, telling the story of a city that helped shape modern transport. Coventry’s transport story began long before the motor car. Visitors can also see classic Coventry-built marques such as Jaguar, Daimler, Humber, Hillman, Standard and Triumph, all of which played a major role in the city’s rise as a motor-manufacturing giant. These vehicles are displayed alongside the stories of the designers, engineers and workers who built them, showing how the city’s watchmaking and bicycle traditions fed directly into the motor industry.
The museum also explores how transport changed everyday life.
