Copyright infringement

The BirminghamUK.com website makes use of a combination of historic postcards, contributed images, and our own original photographs of Birmingham and the West Midlands. A significant number of our own images have been explicitly released by us into the public domain.

All photographs, videos and written material that are not clearly identified as public domain through designated links or captions are not made available for reuse. Over the years we have received a large volume of images from third parties, and we have taken care to feature only material that appears to fall within fair dealing, has expired copyright, or has been shared with us in good faith for non-commercial, archival purposes.

Where video content is used, this is done solely by embedding content hosted on YouTube. Embedding supports creators by directing traffic to their original content and does not involve hosting or copying the video files ourselves. Content creators retain full control over embedded videos and may disable embedding at any time via YouTube’s own settings.

If you believe that any material displayed on this website remains subject to copyright or has been included in error, we ask that you contact us directly. We are happy to review any concerns and will take prompt action where appropriate, including removal if necessary.

For the avoidance of doubt, BirminghamUK.com is a private, non-commercial website. It exists solely as an informational and historical archive relating to Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. The site has no commercial function, does not engage in advertising or promotion, and derives no financial benefit from the material it presents.
