The pagoda in Edgbaston is provided so that people in the West are able to learn about Buddhism. The main financial support, however, comes from generous donations by the Myanmar community across the country.
This significant landmark and temple of Buddhism serves as a shrine for local Buddhists during traditional ceremonies and as a focal point where non-Buddhists can explore Buddhism in a tranquil and peaceful environment within the beautiful surroundings of the pagoda.
