Whilst not a major attraction, this is one of those places that is
definitely worth a visit. The Stourbridge Arm features a restored bonded
warehouse, originally built in 1779 and extended in 1849. It is used as a
meeting place for local societies and for those wishing to hire its
facilities.
A bonded warehouse is a building where taxable goods were stored until
duty had been paid by the importer.
This Grade II listed building sits directly on the Stourbridge Canal,
which was constructed by Thomas Dadford in 1779. The canal has 20 locks
and stretches for approximately eight miles. Canal boat trips are
available for hire from this location.
