Farnham in Surrey is approximately 42 miles from London near the border of Hampshire. It is an old established market town with many Georgian buildings and some fine architecture. With its narrow streets and cobbled mews it has a good mix of restaurants and shopping outlets.
Farnham has a castle and church which date back to the 12th century. As with any similar commuter town within easy reach of London this is a fairly affluent part of the country.
