Saleem’s Sweet Centre & Restaurant
Saleem’s Sweet Centre and Restaurant has been around for years and is one of the most recognised and established restaurants in the “Balti Belt’”. This little gem of an eating house was first opened in 1971 by Mr Abdul Waheed. It has been featured on TV and has a strong following from all over the globe.
Many students who spent their days at uni will know Saleem’s very well. Many of them are now adults with families but they still come back to Saleem’s. The Restaurant provides excellent food at very reasonable prices and is run by the Rafiq and Saleem Wahid.
Guests are able to bring their own alcoholic drinks and sit down to a delicious meal in a friendly environment where good old fashioned service with a smile is all part of the experience.
The kitchens in this place are spotlessly clean and the food is prepared with the best quality ingredients available. Curry and balti fans will love this place. If you want the ultimate in Indian Cuisine then this is it. Saleem’s didn’t pay for this review. They just provided a service over and above what is often the norm and we loved their food.
Suffice to say we have been back a few times since. Give it a try. Highly recommended.
